Eva Korn studied art and photography in Germany and the USA. She has been specialising in female nude photography since 2015 and explores different aspects of womanhood seen by a woman. The artist sees her work as an expression of women’s empowerment. Her subtly surreal photographs are defined by a combination of nude bodies, carefully chosen places and natural light. Eva Korn uses different digital and analogue processes such as double exposures on film, cyanotypes and enlarged polaroids. The photographs are printed on different kinds of paper and are presented in various ways: in picture frames, on wood with layers of varnish or between handmade wooden hangers.
